Hi all!
I don't often send out anything other than stories, but I wanted to take a moment to talk about what I have planned here for 2023 because I value your time and the space I take up in your inbox.
I'll continue to post the remaining chapters of SONG OF THE RED-LEGGED BIRDS each Friday until it's finished. Fifteen of forty-four chapters have been published so far. Note that you can read each chapter at your leisure here. You can also read them on the Substack app, a free download for your mobile device. I think it makes reading, commenting, and liking things more manageable.
I also have a few short/long stories that I'll be publishing. One called PERF about a Mars Rover's final days. An unnamed story about a father and son and a video game. And one called Tim Reaper about a grim reaper who attends a work conference. There are some shorter pieces and flash fiction that I'll throw into the mix as well. In case you aren't aware, all of my shorter pieces are in the archive, including one called The day the world ended, which received some awesome comments and feedback.
While that's going on, I'll complete the first draft of my second novel, TRUTH, a dystopian tale about a female marathon champion who is now a package delivery person in Boston. I'm at about 68k words in this piece and very excited to finish it.
Thank you to all who have subscribed and supported me and anyone else making a go of it in the arts. I hope my stories provide some level of enjoyment in your life. I sure do enjoy writing them.
Bill
